Q. What Happens if You Take Viagra and You Don’t Really Need It?
A. Men who say they don’t have any problems achieving or maintaining erections say that using Viagra dramatically changes the sexual experience, but not always in a good way.
They say taking Viagra gives them a far more rigid erection that is so intense that it’s almost uncomfortable, causing them to lose some sensation and making it difficult to finally achieve orgasm. One person described the feeling like puffing your cheeks full of air and then pushing them out as hard as you can.
Others say the physical reaction happens so effortlessly that it becomes intense long before the man’s own level of excitement can catch up, creating a feeling of detachment. “The disembodied feeling is a really profound feeling,” says the ViagraStories.com editor, a 33-year-old San Francisco man who has used the drug three times.
Mr. Brykman, managing editor of National Lampoon, used only one of the six pills his doctor gave him, and also says he felt disassociated from the experience. He says that although physically it worked, “it didn’t have anything to do with arousal. As far as excitement levels or arousal levels, it didn’t live up to my expectations.”
Those who have used Viagra “recreationally,” however, say the drug, nonetheless, makes it much easier to sustain an erection and achieve a second erection relatively quickly after orgasm.
Pfizer balks at the notion of a recreational use for Viagra, contending that if someone can feel the effect of Viagra, then they, by definition, have lost some sexual function. And the reality is, sexual function starts to fade in the 20s.
“Viagra helps to improve erectile function which isn’t optimal, ” says Pfizer’s Dr. Sweeney. “If you’re a 20-year-old college guy with no diseases and you have great erectile function, it’s not going to do anything for you. It can’t make it go beyond normal.”
Depends on the prescription you have. If there is no Rx, start with the low dosage – 10mg and see how it goes. I have been taking cialis for 3 years. I have never increased the dosage since. I do not take cialis everyday, im on 10mg dosage, take it only when needed. I’ve tried many drugs containing sildlenafil and tadalafil. But most of all I liked cialis. I’m loving the full erections and mental peace Cialis has given me. Oh, actually, i’m on generic cialis, not branded Eli Lilly one. I buy it off http://www.pompharmacy.com Also, if you just thinking about trying it, ask your doctor about 20mg dosage. Purchasing splitting higher dosage pills is a pain in the butt, but it does really save you big money. I do it and it does pay off. Good luck.
He has suggested that I take cialias and gave me samples along with other ed drugs. He says that it is okay to take cialis or the other ones. I have yet to try…I am kind of scared something could go wrong. What do you think?
Viagara is a failed Heart Medication.
They didn’t go out planning on making an ED drug. One of the side effects just happened to make it marketable to be the drug it is today.
Some heart Medications can be taken with ED drugs. It depends on the med ofcourse.
It also depends on the heart condition aswell. There are really only a few with detrimental effects.
All drugs react differently with different people… that would be why he gave you more than one to find out which one was better for you.
ALWAYS take your meds as directed.
If you have Nitro.. do NOT take it up to 42 hours after taking an ED drug. (it will not cause priapism it will actually bottom out your blood pressure and you’ll more than likely go unconcious)
If you are that concerned talk to you Dr again. Make sure he is aware of all the medications you are on… if you have more than one Dr prescribing then he may not know.
I have MANY patients with heart conditions that are on ED meds. It really depends on the case.
PS. To the post above.. .a Stent is put in during an Angiogram and plasty to remove blockages and keep more from building up in the coronary arteries. Not from taking ED drugs
I seem to be having ED side effects from Wellbutrin. Is it safe to take Cialis or Viagra along with Wellbutrin?
It is safe. That’s unfortunate that you are having ED side effects because Wellbutrin is known for not having sexual side effects, unlike the SSRIs. Only 3% of patients experience sexual side effects. Tell your doctor about the side effects though and your intentions to take something like Viagra for it. Good luck
yes, I do, I do not have ED, but sometimes it is not so hard as it used to be as when I was 20 and when I really want to please my wife I take it. ( I am 35) Not exactly viagra , but cialis, I stopped taking viagra 2 years ago, as it had side effects, but cialis works fine for me. If you are young and have hard erections there is no need for you to take anything as viagra cannot make you to go beyond normal.

I don’t have ED, but i wanted to take it just to make things more fun. Is there anything wrong with this?
You should not take this if you do not have ED. Your body will learn to depend on it and mess up your sex life at an early age so wait until you need it.
I want to take one first and then once I ejaculate then will I be able to keep going on for more. I feel like I blow a gasket and I truely want to go longer.
Generally you take those meds before you get started…and yes, you will tend to maintain an erection even after ejaculation…if you take it after you ejaculate the first time, then you’ll go flaccid but become erect again and have that for a while…
I’ve known guys in the swinging lifestyle who took viagra so they could play with multiple partners in one night, without missing a beat, so to speak…
Is there anybody who had tried cialis before a sexual intercourse, even if don’t have erection problems?
I’ve been told to take a little piece NOT THE WHOLE PILL….I’m not sure about it…
Cialis increases bloody flow to the penis. If you already have normal blood flow to the old womb wand then logic would say Cialis won’t help and you would be wasting your $.
If you are going to take one then forget taking a little piece – go the whole 20mg. I can tell you this is an outstanding medicine for those guys who need help in this area.
There is plenty more I could tell you about it but I’d probably get kicked off this site if I did. You can e-mail me if you wish.
